What does Super Lemon Haze mean?
Super Lemon Haze is a Sativa dominant hybrid strain of cannabis. It is a combination of Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze. It does have a slight bit of Indica in its makeup. Both parent plants feature varying levels of Skunk 1 in their genetics, which is an Afghani Indica influenced strain. Lemon Skunk was created from Citral, which is a Pakistani landrace strain that is completely Indica. Ultimately, it works out to about an 80 percent Sativa and 20 percent Indica blend. The strain was developed by Green Grass Seeds. Super Lemon Haze has become a popular strain for medical marijuana users. Its name denotes the strain’s strong lemon scent.
More on Super Lemon Haze
Super Lemon Haze usually boasts a 25 percent level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and a 1 percent cannabidiol (CBD) makeup. It features a very tart and zesty flavor. The strain is often used to treat Bipolar Disorder, chronic pain, depression, fatigue, nausea, stress, and headaches. Super Lemon Haze won the High Times Cannabis Cup two times, once in 2008 and again in 2009. It was also awarded the IC420 Growers Cup. The strain has an abundance of the terpene limonene which gives the strain its telltale lemon flavor. The strain’s high levels of THC makes it less than ideal for novice smokers because it can create the feeling of paranoia and anxiety. Super Lemon Haze plants have a growth period of 56 to 65 days. Typically, when grown indoors, growers can expect to harvest 600 grams per square meter when grown indoors and 800 grams per square meter when grown outdoors.
